Black Sitges!

A year-round community of queer Black men, born at Bear Week Sitges.For us, by us. Black Sitges is a space for Black men and men of color to come together, feel at home, and celebrate our culture, our food, our music, and each other. And if you love and respect us, you are more than welcome here too.

How it started...

Our Story

It started in Sitges in September 2025, with two friends at Bear Week and one line: "We need to find more Black guys this year."So we made it a mission. Every time we spotted Black men in town, we walked up, introduced ourselves, and swapped Instagrams. We were basically collecting people like Pokémon.Then one day at Buenos Aires Grill, we spotted two more guys, invited them over to our table, and just got to talking. Somewhere in that conversation, out of nowhere, the name came up: Black Sitges. That's when it really started.

What we are

  • We are a community of queer Black men who connect at Bear Week and stay connected all year.

  • We are a group chat and an IG page full of trip photos, city check-ins, and "who's around?" messages.

  • We are the people you meet up with in Houston, Puerto Vallarta, Palm Beach, London, Paris, Atlanta, NYC, wherever life takes you.

  • We're for us, by us, but never exclusive. If you're a queer Black man or man of color coming to Sitges, you're already one of us. And if you're here to celebrate us and have a good time with us, you belong here too.

  • Just like Bear Week welcomes plenty of people who aren't bears, Black Sitges welcomes friends and allies who share our values.

  • Nobody should have to find their people by accident.

The Black Sitges Private Boat Party

Our 2026 boat party sold out, so it's back and bigger. Four hours on the Mediterranean aboard a private boat out of Barcelona: music, drinks, snacks, and good company, whether you're a familiar face or meeting us for the first time. Once we're out on the water, it's clothing-optional-- totally up to you!

Details:

  • When: Thursday, September 9, 2027, 1pm to 5pm (tentative)

  • Rain date: Saturday, September 11, 2027, same time, if the weather doesn't cooperate.

  • Where: Barcelona

  • How long: 4 hours

  • Spots: Limited. We'll set the number based on interest.

  • Estimated price: €169–€199 per person

  • Tickets: On sale spring 2027, and the interest list gets first access

  • Vibe: Clothing-optional once we're out on the water, totally your choice

What To Expect:

  • A private boat with captain and crew

  • Beer, cava, wine, soft drinks, and water

  • Snacks to share

  • Our music on the boat's speakers

  • Clothing-optional once we're out on the water, totally up to you

Bring Your Own:

  • Drinks and snacks are welcome.

  • Bring whatever keeps the party going, whether that's chips, pizza, empanadas, or your drink of choice.

  • Is joining the interest list a commitment? Nope. It just helps us plan. You'll get first access to tickets, with no obligation to buy.

  • When do tickets go on sale? Spring 2027. The interest list hears first.

  • Who can come? As with all things Black Sitges, everyone's welcome. We created this space for us, by us, for Black men and men of color to connect and celebrate our culture. Our friends and allies who embrace the Black community and share our values are welcome to join us too. Come with friends or come solo.

  • Where in Barcelona is this taking place? We'll most likely depart from Port Olímpic in Barcelona. We'll share the meeting point and details as we get closer to the date.

  • How do I get there? Getting from Sitges to Port Olímpic is easy by Uber, Cabify, taxi, or train. We're also exploring a shared shuttle from Sitges, and we'll share details when tickets go on sale.

  • What should I bring? Swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and any drinks or snacks you'd like.

  • What if the weather's bad? If the sea isn't safe (strong winds, rough water, or heavy rain), we'll try to make the call with the boat company about 48 hours ahead and move the party to our rain date: Saturday, September 11, 2027, same time. We'll email everyone and post on Instagram as soon as we decide. Heading out of Sitges before Saturday afternoon? Keep the rain date in mind before you book!

  • What if I can't make the rain date? Since the boat is booked and paid for everyone, a weather move to Saturday isn't refundable. If we can't sail on Saturday either, everyone gets a refund, minus payment processing fees.

  • Is there a bathroom on board? Yes.

  • Is there a dress code? Nope! You can wear all white, like many folks did last year, or whatever makes you feel good. Note: This will be a clothing-optional experience once we're out on the water. Everyone's comfort matters, so please ask before taking or sharing photos of anyone.

  • When you buy a ticket or tote: your name, email address, phone number, and Instagram handle (optional). Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

  • When you use our contact form or email us: your name, email address, and anything you include in your message.

  • When you visit our site: our website and hosting providers may automatically collect basic technical information, such as your browser type and pages visited.

How we use it

  • To confirm your booking and send you event details, such as departure information and tote pickup

  • To contact you about the event, including schedule changes, weather updates, and refunds

  • To respond to your messages and questions

  • To manage our guest list

  • We do not sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

  • We only share your information with the services and partners needed to run the event:

  • Stripe (payment processing)

  • Carrd (website hosting and contact forms)

  • Cloudflare (website and email services)

  • Our boat charter partner, only if needed for guest lists or safety requirements

  • These providers handle your information under their own privacy and security policies. We may also share information if required by law.

How we protect it

  • Payments are handled by Stripe, which meets industry security standards for card data.

  • Access to guest information is limited to the Black Sitges organizers.

  • Our accounts are protected with secure passwords and two-step verification where available.

How long we keep it
We keep guest information only as long as needed to run the event and meet any legal or tax obligations.Your choices

Refund Policy

Tickets
Until August 19, 2027: Full refund, minus payment processing fees.
After August 19, 2027: Tickets are non-refundable.
If we cancel the party: Full refund.Weather
If sea conditions aren't safe (strong winds, rough seas, or heavy rain), we'll decide with the boat company about 48 hours before the party. If we need to move it, the party moves to our rain date: Saturday, September 11, 2027, at the same time. Tickets aren't refundable if you can't attend the rain date. If we can't sail on the rain date either, you'll receive a refund, minus payment processing fees.Totes
Totes are pre-ordered and printed for you, so they can't be refunded after July 29, 2027. If you cancel your ticket before that date, your tote is refunded too.For refunds, email [email protected].
